First day of summer vacation!

All is quiet at our house this morning. Grace and Sam had a sleep over at friends house last night. They were so excited. It is their first sleepover, other than at Grandma and Grandpa's. I have not heard from them since around 8pm last night. I hope everything is alright! This is a big step for everyone. Dave and I went out to dinner when he got home from golf. Then we came home and waited for them to call...LOL!

Here are some more projects using the polished stone technique. I will post the finished project later. Not sure what I am going to do with them yet. Any suggestions??? Post a comment!!

Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!

Whew!

Grace and Sam are all tucked in anxiously awaiting the last day of school. I tell you it feels like Christmas around here!

I have fallen behind with all of this end of the year stuff. However, I think I am back on track.

Anyway, the camera battery is charged, pictures have been taken, pictures have been uploaded, pictures have been edited..yadda, yadda, yadda.

I have some new things to show you. This is one of the cards we will be making this weekend at the card camp. This is a graduation card that has a pocket for cash, check or gift card. Pretty cool huh???? It is very easy and fun to make.

We are down to less than 24 hours of school! Yippie! The kids have been enjoying these last few days. The last two weeks have been party packed. Yesterday they went to the Curious Kids Museum for a field trip. Today was the school picnic. Fun! Fun! Fun!

I have been busy making cards and projects to display here. I am currently waiting for my camera battery to charge and then I will snap some photos for you!

This weekend is the card camp so I will be sure to take some photos to show you all the fun we have! Be sure and check it out!

Whew! We made it through a very cold double header softball game on Thursday. I think we have finally thawed out.

Here are some more bookmarks I have been working on. Notice the flower lifts and slides over the page.

Well, today is the day we do our planting. Our plants are in the garage waiting for Dave to get up. LOL.

Thursday....

Hello! We just finished up with the 1st grader reading party. What a fantastic party! The children were so surprised. We had doughnuts, OJ & milk. Each child received certificate of achievement, a book from the school book sale and a handmade bookmark (see previous post). I think it really made their day. I am so proud of this class they are all such good readers.

The card I am posting today is from one of Stampin' Up!'s retired stamp sets. Hope you like it!

Happy Friday!

Hi Stampers!

Here is another project using the shaving cream technique! This is a gift for the kids teacher.

She is a big MSU fan. The note holder pattern came from a Paper Crafts Magazine. If you are interested in the dimensions I will be happy to post them, just let me know! The stickers were some of the ones I purchased at Creative Adventure.

Thanks for looking!

Thursday...

Wowie Zowie!

I can not believe it is Thursday. What happened to this week??? I made these cards for a friend, who is a MSU Alumni. The swirl paper you see is made with re-inkers and shaving cream. Pretty cool huh???

Super easy technique:

1) Take a jelly roll pan and spread about 1" of shaving cream (no special brand) out in it, like you would frosting.

2) Take your re-inker and randomly squeeze drops of it on top of the saving cream.

3) Cut through this with a plastic knife (to make the swirl).

4) Lay white card stock on top and press down lightly.

5) Lift card stock up.

6) Remove excess shaving cream and let dry. Drying time is very minimal.
The "S" stickers I purchased from Creative Adventure (my favorite paper craft store). They have an awesome selection of college and local high school stickers & papers. You can make great graduation cards out of them too.
Have fun!!!! Chat w/you tomorrow!

Super Busy Saturday

Hello-

We have a Saturday packed full of fun stuff ! One soccer game down and one to go. Sam is off to a bowling birthday party. Later today Dave and I are doing a local version of the Amazing Race. I'll let you know how the Amazing Race turns out. Should be a lot of fun, right Carla??? LOL!

Here is today's card. We did this card at the last card camp. It is a get well card. The design came from another SU Demonstrator's site, I just can't remember which one. The Stamp set used is called Pick a Petal. Just kind of a fun quirky card. Hope you enjoy it!

Have a great day, Happy Stampin' and Happy Mother's Day!!!

Thursday...

Wow! I am not sure where today went. It sure got away from me. I just finished these bookmarks for Grace & Sam's class. We are having a little reading celebration for them in a couple of weeks and I made these to go along with a book for each child. They have come so far with the reading program, it just amazes me.

Thanks for looking & Happy Stampin'!

Tuesday

Good Morning-

Yesterday was beautiful. I was able to clean out some flowerbeds. I sure am looking forward to some warmer weather.

Today's card is a Christmas card...I know I know, but is only 232 days until Christmas. With that being said I hope you enjoy this card. I used the Peaceful Wishes stamp set. Again this card is not using any special technique just some simple Stampin'.

Thanks for looking!

Good Morning!

I hope you all had a great weekend. It kind of rained on our parade on Saturday...lol. The temperature took a 20 degree nose dive and we froze. Oh well, the kids seemed to enjoy it...for the most part.

Today's card is made from the stamp set Simply Said page 49 of the current Stampin' Up! catalog. The card stock I used is Really Rust, Bordering Blue, Garden Green and Kraft. This layout is a great way to use up some scarp card stock you have.
Have great day!

And The Winner Is....

Congrats to Heather! She is the lucky winner of a $10.00 Gift Certificate.

Heather is one of the talented artists at Creative Adventure. She has designed some of the most beautiful cards and scrapbook pages I have ever seen. Congrats, Heather!

The card of the day is another super easy one...this set is called Seaside. No fancy technique just some plain old fashion Stampin'.
Have a great Saturday. We are off to get ready for the Blossomtime Parade. Dave is laying the blankets (isn't he the best!!!)...I guess he figured I wasn't going to do it since I am still in my jammies...lol
Happy Stampin'! & Thanks for looking!

Fun Friday!

Good Morning Stampers-

What a beautiful morning. I hope this weather holds! I have a very bad case of spring fever! We are going to do some serious landscaping in the front of our house this summer, and I am very anxious to get the project started. The front of our house is pretty boring and needs some color. You all know how I love color! I picture a little Summer Sun, Pixie Pink, Orchid Opulence, Brilliant Blue and Garden Green growing in the front yard very soon. Did you notice these are all Stampin' Up! colors???
Be sure to check out the May Stampin' Up! specials! The demo kit is 20% off!!!! Wowza! You heard it here first! Just think you can sign up to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, just like me, we would have so much fun!!! Convention is coming up! A long weekend in Salt Lake City, UT...no hubbie (or significant other), no kids, no pets...just a bunch of crazy card making, scrap booking stampers. Woo Hoo! I am actually going to try to go this year...will one of you tell Dave?? LOL!
Anyway...today's card is pretty easy. The purses on the front of the card are made out of punches from Stampin' Up!. I used the square, oval and round tab punches, a brad for the snap and you have a purse.
I almost forgot...the winner of the the gift certificate will be announced tomorrow!

Have a fun Friday & Think Spring!

Feels like Spring!

Hi Stampers!

The sun is shinning and it feels warmer! Yippie, we have soccer tonight so I hope the weather holds.

Today's card is "easy peasy, lemon squeezy" as Grace would say. Just some stampin' and some water coloring. I used blender pens and ink pads to color in Susie. She is from our Sassy Susie set. Be sure to go on line at www. stampinup.com to see what else Susie has to say. She is one of my favs.
One more day before the blog $10.00 gift certificate drawing! Be sure to post a comment on the entry dated Saturday April 26 so you will be entered in the drawing! Good luck!
